Crowdsourcing Research
The Innomediary Research Project is part of the research that the Innovation Co-Creation Lab (ICCL) does on the topic of “crowdsourcing”. This relatively new phenomenon allows an organization to incorporate knowledge from outside of its boundaries in, for example, its innovation processes by asking individuals to contribute ideas for new products and/or services, designs, commercials, etc.
The Innomediary Research Project is such a crowdsourcing platform that allows organizations to connect to individuals. In the coming months, you, as a student of the Erasmus University, will be able to experience a real online crowdsourcing platform, in which organizations ask you to come up with Ideas to the Challenges they post.
From October until December 2009
From October until December 2009, 8 exciting Challenges will be posted on this website. Every Monday, starting October 12th, a new Challenge will be posted. For each Challenge you will have a period of two weeks to submit Ideas. You can work on your Ideas wherever and whenever you like and simply post the Idea on the website before the deadline.
Within one week after the deadline, the organization that posted the Challenge will provide all participants with feedback on their Ideas and the top 5 of the Challenge will be announced on the website. If you make the top 5 of a Challenge you will also receive a monetary reward.
Work for top organizations and win € 5000!
Besides the total reward budget of € 5000, participating in the Innomediary Research Project will allow you to share your Ideas with the organizations on topics that directly affect you. You will be able to compete with your fellow students and make yourself known with the participating organizations as well as around the university.
One important condition for participating in the Challenges of the Innomediary Research Project is that you also have to participate in the research related to the project. This comes down to answering one questionnaire when you sign up to the Innomediary Research Project, one questionnaire at the end of the project and a short questionnaire about each of the eight Challenges. This will not take more than 10 minutes of your time in a week.
